Developers are GSMA Members, including mobile network operators and other firms in the Telecom sector or adjacent industries. They have a global reach and infrastructure and specialize in mobile application development on the Telcoin Platform.

Developers: Social, Demographic, Economic Attributes

Developers are GSMA Members who produce and maintain mobile applications that connect users to the Telcoin Platform and its services.

They have a global reach, their customers on the platform are users who have downloaded and registered using their mobile app, and their sources of income include transaction fees from customers and TEL issuance from Telcoin Application Network (TAN).

Developers are one of four Miner Groups that share equal authority in Telcoin governance.

  • GSMA Members: GSMA Members may participate as developers.
  • Developer Miner Group: Developers are empowered as one of four “Miner Groups”, a collective made up of individual developers that shares equal power and control in Telcoin governance based on their distinct, functional interests and relationship with the Platform and TEL. An individual developer’s political power is based on their pro-rata share of TEL staked on TAN by all registered Developers.
  • Developers: Demographic Attributes

  • Telecommunications Providers, Related Businesses: Mobile Network Operators and other GSMA members which operate private businesses in the Telecom sector. In some cases, these businesses are the largest in their local country based on revenue and customers as a percentage of population.
  • Developers: Economic Attributes

  • Specialization: Mobile application development. Developers produce mobile applications that connect users to the Telcoin Platform and its services, including peer-to-peer transfer, decentralized exchange, digital asset self-custody without having to physically store a private key, and the ability to to participate in staking and governance from their mobile device.
  • Customer Base: Existing customer base includes every mobile phone user in the world, and their customer base on the platform includes all registered business and individual mobile app users of their application.
  • Capital: Global reach, local market knowledge, human capital, robust infrastructure.
  • Platform Sources of Income: Earn fees when mobile users transact using their mobile application and harvest TEL from TAN based on adoption metrics and their staked TEL balance.
  • Transaction Fees: Income from transaction fees paid by their mobile customers.
    • Frequency: Each time users transact through Telcoin products and pay fees.
    • Fee Percentage: Developers determine their own fee schedules.
    • Basis for Fee Income: Transaction fee minus referral fee earned by Staker.
      • Non-referred users: If the user has not been referred by a Staker, the Developer earns the entire transaction fee.
      • Referred users: If the user has been referred by a Staker, the Developer earns the base transaction they charge minus the referral fee rate.
